First Football Game Of The Season!

Yesterday was the first Longhorn football game of the season! Cooper had an awesome game, got  a couple of tackles and scored a touchdown while pulling 4 of the other teams players across with him.....Coach Adam (dad) sure was happy with all the boys! A big storm came through and Baylee's game was delayed a few hours but they finally got it played. She did a great job cheering! Last night we had game night and played Farkle with Heather, Robbie and the boys. Tonight we're letting Cooper get Summer Slam and everyone will be back over to watch that. We're trying to cram as much fun into this weekend as possible before school starts tomorrow!

You can see Cooper's Highlight Video Here:

Friday was meet the teacher day at Harmony Community School. The kids have all got great teachers this year and I'm super excited for them! Baylee and Cooper start tomorrow, Harper has staggered start for pre-k and will go in Tuesday.

Beaches and Cream at Disney

We decided to do something extra special and fun with the kids this afternoon....in Orlando when you want to do something extra special and fun that usually means a trip to Disney. Today we went to the Yacht and Beach Club Resort to eat at one of their restaurants, Beaches and Cream. We weren't just having a normal meal there though, we were having The Kitchen Sink! The Kitchen Sink is an ice cream creation made out of :

  • ½ cup fudge topping, warmed
  • ½ cup butterscotch topping, warmed
  • ½ cup peanut butter topping, warmed
  • 1 medium banana, sliced in 1/2 –inch slices
  • 1 cinnamon spice cupcake (2 ½ x 1 ¼-inch), quartered
  • 1 angel food cupcake (3 x 1 ½-inch), quartered
  • 2 4-oz. scoops vanilla ice cream
  • 2 4-oz. scoops chocolate ice cream
  • 2 4-oz. scoops strawberry ice cream
  • 1 4-oz. scoop mint chocolate chip ice cream
  • 1 4-oz. scoop coffee ice cream
  • 3 tablespoons chocolate syrup
  • ¼ cup marshmallow crème
  • ¼ cup strawberry topping
  • ¼ cup pineapple topping
  • 1 14-oz can dairy whipped topping
  • 1 brownie (6-inch x 6-inch), quartered
  • 1 regular-sized (2 ounce) candy bar, quartered
  • 4 chocolate cookies with cream filling
  • 1 tablespoon sliced toasted almonds
  • 1 tablespoon dark and white chocolate shavings
  • 1 tablespoon chocolate cookies with cream filling, crushed
  • 1 tablespoon chopped jellied orange slices (approximately 2 large slices)
  • 1 tablespoon milk chocolate chip morsels
  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter chip morsels
  • 1 tablespoon chocolate sprinkles
  • 1 tablespoon rainbow sprinkles
  • ½ cup drained maraschino cherries

We had a 30 minute wait to get our table so we spent that time next door at the arcade! It was so much fun! Everything Disney does is top notch and tons of fun!!! The kids had a blast playing all the games, and air hockey with each other.

Harper is not happy having to wait on her treat!

When they bring it out they turn the lights out and do a little presentation

When it started to melt they just put their straws in there

I have NO IDEA what Adam is doing in this picture! But I think it's funny!!!

Our Busy Week

We've had a pretty busy week this past week:

Baylee spent the night with Grandma last Sunday and helped her get her classroom set up for the upcoming school year. She had cheerleading practice every night and is looking forward to her first game next weekend, she's really looking forward to 5th grade too! I think she's gonna have an awesome year as usual this year. She's been a big help around the house this week, cleaning the kitchen and doing extra chores to help out.

Cooper's had a busy week with gymnastics and football practice, and he had a dentist visit thrown in! He and dad had football picture day this morning and later he got to go with dad to Sidelines this evening for Adam's fantasy football draft. I think Adam will have an awesome team this year because Cooper was there to help him make his picks. He picked up a new skill at gymnastics this week.....a roundoff back tuck....he kind of skipped the whole learning the roundoff back handspring which should come before the back tuck.  Here he is....he got pretty good at it during his practice then he perfected it when they were picking Harper up from team camp....that's why he's in his football pants:

Harper had a super big exciting week!!! She had her first day camp ever....Gymnastics Team Camp! She did so well she was Camper of the Week....TWICE!!!! I thought she would have a really hard time leaving daddy for the day but she did great. She especially loved getting to take a back pack every day and pack her lunch.....made her feel like a big girl!

August Already!

I can't believe August is here! Where has the summer gone? Football and cheerleading practice are in full swing. Last Saturday was opening day....loved that it was in the park across from the house....another plus to living in Harmony! Cooper and Baylee are getting in the swing of things again with practice, Harper's having fun watching all the cheerleaders practice and telling them what they're doing wrong.

Cooper on the rings and climbing the rope with no feet, only his hands (which I'm told is very hard to do)

Doing Punt, Pass and Kick on opening day

winning awards for Punt, Pass, and Kick!

First night of practice

Baylee also had her first night of practice but I had a bad mommy moment and let my phone die so I have pictures

Baylee's new (FREE) hair cut
School is starting soon so we've been busy shopping for school supplies and clothes. This is the first year that Baylee is actually asking for name brand clothes, which means more deathly scary trips to Hollister! This past week we took advantage of JC Penny's free haircut for kids, what an awesome deal! Harper is so excited to be going to pre K and Cooper is even kink of excited about 2nd grade.

Baylee is spending the night with grandma tonight so she's pretty excited about that. Tomorrow she's gonna help grandma get her classroom ready for the start of school. Cooper is still doing gymnastics during the week and is LOVING watching the Olympics!!! It's actually kind of funny how into it he's getting. He said he's gonna be the first person to do wrestling AND gymnastics in the Olympics.
